Former Black Starlets coach Frimpong Manso believes that the special friendly game between the Black Stars and Asante Kotoko should be treated as an important game.
According to the former Ghana international defender, there is nothing to fear about, responding to calls by some people that the friendly game was needless.
A session of the public believe that the Black Stars players need protection and should not be involved in any game as such after the AFCON 2019 qualifier against Sierra Leone was cancelled by CAF.
But in an interview with Ghanacrusader radio, Frimpong Manso thinks the game is significant and would be helpful to both sides.
“The Black Stars game with Kotoko should be deemed as an equally important game.No player should be scared of getting injured”.
Frimpong Manso is a former player of Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender, he as well had a short spell as interim coach of the team in the 2016/17 Ghana premier league season when Zradko Logarusic was sacked.
