Out of 24 players called up for the 2019 Africa cup of nations qualifier against Kenya,21 Black stars players were present at the team’s first training session held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.
The team was supervised by head coach Kwesi Appiah with the assistance of his backroom staff. Andre Ayew,Jordan Ayew ,Thomas Partey , Christian Atsu ,Mubarak Wakaso are among a host of senior players who were present at the training on Tuesday.
Three players were absent ,Kwadwo Asamoah ,Caleb Ekuban and the Injured Andy Yiadom who has been replaced by Daniel Opare were not part of the first day’s exercise but reports has it that they will join the team hopefully on Wednesday.
The Black Stars are preparing for two games ,team first which is an AFCON qualifier against Kenya and an international friendly with Rwanda on March 26. The team will regroup at the Accra sports Stadium on Wednesday at 4 pm for day two of their training.
