Veteran coach, J E Sarpong, believes that the Black Stars failure in Afcon shouldn’t fall on head coach Kwesi Appiah alone but the entire technical team because they take decisions together.
Ghana were eliminated from the Afcon by the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the round of 16 on penalties after a one all draw after extra time. This has caused a major stir in the country with majority of Ghanaians and football pundits calling for the head of the Coach.
But Coach J E Sarpong thinks it is the entire technical team that needs a total shake up.
Speaking on Kumasi based Nhyira FM, he said “We have backroom staff. When the coach makes a substitution, he does so based on the deliberations he will have with his technical bench.”
“So if Kwesi is going then the advisers(Technical team) must also follow like what Egypt has done; sacking the entire technical bench and also the FA President resigning from his post,” he added.
