Ghana’s premier lingerie and sportswear shop, Beautiful Beneath and Cancer Support Network of Ghana, will organize a health walk meant to increase breast cancer awareness in Accra.
Cancer Support Network of Ghana is a cancer care initiative aim to help affected individuals and their families through their cancer journey.
The walk, which will commence from the Beautiful Beneath shop at East Legon will come off on Saturday, October 13.
It will see participants walk through the principal streets of East Legon through to the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) all the way to Emmanuel Eye Clinic, Lagos Avenue and back.
The walk, which has been dubbed: “The Pink Healthwalk”, will start at 6 am in the morning.
It is part of activities to commemorate October as ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ month. And as part of the social responsibilities of Beautiful Beneath, the fashion firm intends to use this activity to encourage Ghanaians to exercise often as well as advise women to do regularly screening against breast cancer.
The walk will cap off a series of activities organized by Beautiful Beneath towards this campaign.
