Head coach of the Black Queens ,Bashir Hayford, says he is expecting the foreign based players to join the team next week for camping ahead of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations next month.
Captain of the side Elizabeth Addo , Belarus based Faustina Ampah, Priscilla Okyere, , Linda Eshun and Portia Boakye are projected to be at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram next week.
According to Bashir Hayford , the foreign based players are allowed to join the team two weeks to major tournaments so he is expecting them by next week.
“For the professionals[foreign based players] we can only have them in camp for not more than two weeks, even their clubs wouldn’t allow that we have them earlier than that.So from next week they should be joining us in camp”.He told Cape Coast based Yes FM
The team has been getting ready for the tournament at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Pampram after ending a nationwide tour a fortnight ago.
Ghana is hosting seven other countries between November 17 and December 1 for the 11th edition of Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
The winner of the tournament together with the second and third place teams will qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France next year.
