Asante Kotoko have parted ways with Guinean import Naby Laye Keita, the player’s agent has confirmed. Reports circulated this week that the Porcupine Warriors have parted ways with some of his players of which Naby Keita was among.
The Reds, however, refuted the claims but Keita’s agent has disclosed that the Guinean import striker has left the club.
Keita joined the Kumasi based club as a free agent on a three-year deal in October 2018 ahead of the start of the CAF Confederation Cup campaign and excelled during some friendlies games notably against the Black Stars in Kumasi.
But the former AC Horoya forward failed to replicate the preseason form in the competition, allowing Songne Yacouba to reclaim the starting berth after playing the opening game against Karibangi Sharks in Kenya.
The 24-year-old striker netted nine goals for the Porcupine Warriors during his stints at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
