Asante Kotoko head coach, C.K. Akonnor, is not happy about his side’s inability to keep clean sheets.
Th Porcupine warriors racked up the vital three points in a 2-1 win over Zesco United in the CAF Confederations Cup but the former Black Stars Skipper is disturbed by the team letting in yet another goal in the competition.
Ghana’s Zesco United player Rahim Osumanu scored in the 73rd minute at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Wednesday which meant that Kotoko had conceded 2 goals in their two Group C matches played so far.
“The goal we conceded should not have happened. It was because of miscommunication but giving goals away is a worry and we have to keep working on it. We can only work and improve on things.
However, it is surely disturbing and we will try as much as we can to improve on that area of our game.” Akunnor told the media.
First half goals from Kwame Bonsu and Emmanuel Gyamfi were enough to aid Kotoko snatch the vital three points on the day. Aside lamenting over the team’s concession rate ,the former AshGold SC coach was very delighted with the three points won on the day.
