Asamoah Gyan continued from where he left off last week in Turkey after scoring late to rescue a point for Kayserispor in their 2-2 away draw with Akhisar Belediyespor FC in the Super Lig on Sunday.
The Ghana international had not scored since December 2018 but scored twice last weekend and added another today to increase his tally to 3 in two games.
Adrien Regattin opened the scoring in the 37th minute for the home side after Artem Kravets equalized for the visitors in the 61st-minute mark.
Gyan scored the goal in just a second to the end of the game for Kayserispor after Dutch-born Ghanaian international, Elvis Manu had put the home side in the lead in the 80th minute.
The 33-year-old was introduced into the game in the 46th minute with Kayserispor down by a goal and he rose to the occasion to secure the vital point for his side.
The ex-Sunderland and Rennes forward has now scored four goals in 13 league appearances this term.
Gyan who is Ghana’s all-time top scorer with 51 goals after 106 international outings, will hope to maintain the goal-scoring form when Kwesi Appiah’s men begin their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Egypt.
