Amissah-Arthur discharged his duties with dignity – Akufo-Addo praises late VEEP

President William Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has heaped praises on late Vice President Amissah-Arthur, describing him as a public servant who discharged his duties with dignity.

The President in a condolatory message to mourn the sixth former vice president of the fourth republic of Ghana and former governor of the Bank of Ghana, posted on his Facebook wall, described the former Veep as a longstanding public servant who discharged his duties with dignity.

The president in a sympathetic message extended his condolences to the wife, children and family of late Dr. Amissah-Arthur as well as to former President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of which the former Vice President was a prominent member.

The former governor of the Bank of Ghana collapsed after visiting the Air-Force gym in Accra this morning, rushed to 37 military hospital where he passed on.
