Former president, John Dramani Mahama has reacted to President Akufo-Addo’s declaration that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will ‘rot’ in opposition. According to him, Nana Addo isn’t God to figure out who drives the nation after the 2020 general election.
Speaking during his tour through the Eastern Region, Pulse.com.gh recorded that President Akufo-Addo hit out at the NDC, demanding the party has been selling lies about his government.
He proceeded to articulate that the NDC will remain in opposition for quite a while on the off chance that it proceeds with its mission to make his government unpopular.
“…these are people who are looking at a long period in opposition,” the President said, adding that the NDC will only create, loot and share should they return to power.
Responding to this, Mahama said President Akufo-Addo isn’t God to choose who will lead Ghana in 2020.
“When we began our crusade, the president said he would not react to presidential competitors but rather he has since begun reacting to us and at Somanya, he said NDC would not come to control once more, but rather I say that he isn’t God, as just God picks a leader and God is huge, along these lines, we are cheerful that the NDC will win the 2020 general election,” he disclosed to some NDC delegates in Bekwai in the Ashanti district.
Mahama, who is as of now in the second period of his Ashanti Regional battle visit, scrutinized government for neglecting the Bekwai Hospital.
As indicated by him, the NPP government has abandoned the Bekwai Hospital, which he said was begun under his administration.
