Head coach of the Elephants of Ivory Coast, Ibrahima Kamara, has indicated that his team will be bouncing back stronger in future African competitions.
Speaking at a post-match conference yesterday, Coach Ibrahim congratulated his players for fighting hard in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Elephants were eliminated by the Desert Foxes of Algeria in the quarter finals by 4-3 on penalties after the game ended in a one all draw in 120 minutes of soccer action.
“I knew our level should have been better if we wanted to qualify. Both teams wanted it. They did everything they could. We will be back again and we will do our best” Ibrahima Kamara said at post match conference.
Algeria’s coach Djamel Belmadi also congratulated his players for the win over Ivory Coast.
“Today’s game was difficult against a strong team. We controlled the game most of the time.Winning was the most important thing.The penalty shoot-out scenario was hard. I cried for Youcef Attal’s injury but I think he will make it to the next match.”
