Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah has set his sights on building a formidable side for Ghana for subsequent tournaments.
Ghana will play their second group game against defending champions Cameroon in a must-win encounter that can decide the fate of the four-time champions.
According to the former Al Khartoum manager, Ghana needs a dependable side that the country can rely on in the next tournaments to come.
“Me as a coach, I can even be home tomorrow but what is important is building a team that the country can depend on. The team that we must build for subsequent tournaments,” said Kwesi Appiah in a presser ahead of the game with Cameroon.
The core members of the Black Stars are either in their early 30s or late 20s-Asamoah Gyan(33), Andre Ayew(29), Kwadwo Asamoah(30), John Boye(34), Johnathan Mensah(28), and Mubarak Wakasu(28).
