AFCON 2019: Jonathan Mensah Promises To Make Ghana Proud In Egypt

Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah has promised to make Ghana proud in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament that is set to kick off today, June 21.

The defender is part of the team which left Dubai, where they have been camping for three weeks, for Egypt ready for the tournament.

The hopes are high in the Ghanaian camp, and the defender feels its time they deliver on Africa’s grand stage.

The tournament kicks off with the hosts playing Zimbabwe at the Cairo International Stadium in Cairo.

Ghana are in Group F against defending champions Cameroon, Benin and Guinea Bissau, and will kick off their campaign on June 25, against Benin.

They will be hoping to end their 37-year wait for an AFCON title, having played in the last six semifinals and two finals.
