Ghanaian International, Isaac Vorsah is wishing the Black Stars of Ghana the best of luck as the team journeys to Egypt in a bid to end the country’s 37 years in waiting for an African trophy.
The last time the West African Country lifted the AFCON trophy was back in 1982. Since then they have enjoyed bitterly a three-decade drought though coming close to winning it on several occasions.
Vorsah who was with the team in Ghana’s previous Afcon campaigns but was not called by Coach Kwesi Appiah in an interview with Ghanasoccernet threw his support behind the team.
“I wish them all the best of luck ahead of the tournament. I’ll urge the nation to throw their support behind them to help us end this dry spell.”
He added, “I think we have a strong squad to end this drought in Egypt. We’ll also be helped by the presence of the old guard in camp because in such competitions experience does count a lot”.
Defender Isaac Vorsah has 40 appearances for the Blacks Stars of Ghana with just a goal.
