Local media has confirmed that the Black Stars of Ghana will earn $80,000 AFCON participation payouts.
The news comes out as Ghana continue preparation in Dubai ahead of June 21’s AFCON 2019 in Egypt.
“Black Stars players will receive an appearance fee of $80,000 at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt this summer,” according to GHANAsoccernet.
The publication further clarified that each squad member will be paid the same amount, which will be taken care of by the government.
“Each member of the 23-man squad will be smiling to the bank after reaching an agreement with the country’s Sports Ministry,” concluded the report.
Kwasi Appiah’s men take on South Africa in a friendly game this Saturday in Dubai.
