Aduana Stars To Host Ivory Coast 2006 World Cup Stars In Dormaa

Dormaa based side Aduana Stars have reached an agreement to engage in an international friendly game with the legendary Ivory Coast 2006 FIFA World Cup squad at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on February 23, 2019.

The news was confirmed by the club’s Chief Executive Officer , Albert Commey, on Agoo Tv’s Dwidwam Sports show on Monday. The Ivory Coast squad  will parade the likes of Arouna Dindane, Didier Zokora, Marc Zoro, Boniventure Kalou among a host of stars who represented the country at its first appearance at the FIFA world cup in 2006.

Organizers of the iconic clash have quoted GHC 10 and GHC 15  as the gate fees for the encounter.

It has also been revealed that wife of Boniventure Kalou who hails from the Brong Ahafo region played a vital role in ensuring that this game was scheduled.Proceeds from the game is expected to be used to purchase an ambulance for the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital.

Former Ivory Coast captain and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba is yet to confirm his participation, according to close sources.
