Doxa Katokopias FC midfielder Benjamin Asamoah Akoto says his dream is to play in the UEFA Champions league one day.
Asked about how he feels about his current club, Akoto said: “I feel really loved and at home at this club. Wonderful fans, amazing teammates.
“I am happy to play for this club, one of the good sides in Cyprus. So for me, it’s really a pleasure to be part of this club.”
The 24 year old has been in typically excellent form, playing full throttle in Doxa fc’s last three games in the league.
“I am focused on my job as a player and trying to help the team, I try to improve every training session and try to be at my best as I can, so I don’t want to talk about my future at the club.” He told Ghanacrusader.com
The former Atletico Madrid player is relishing a dream of playing in the UEFA Champions league and representing his country, Ghana, someday.
“It is every player’s dream to play his national team and as well play in the UEFA Champions league. Growing up I use to watch a lot of champions league games and it is my biggest dream to feature in it one day”
The Ghana international has a year more left for his contract to expire at the club but would want to aid Loukas Hadjiloukas’ side to climb up the log in subsequent games.
Doxa fc are currently 7th on the league log after 3 games.
