Ghana’s volleyball team will officially kick start their campaign at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires today.
They will be up against Hungary this afternoon.
The team touched down in Argentina last Monday and have been preparing intensively for the tournament.
The Games officially commenced yesterday , October 6.
Kelvin Carboo and Eric Tsatu will be in action today for Team Ghana against Hungary as far as Beach volleyball is concern.
Mr Evans Yeboah is the Chef de Mission of Team Ghana.He will be supervising the activities of Ghana’s athletes at the tournament .
Before the team left Ghana, Mr. Yeboah disclosed that any gold medal won would attract a reward of $5,000, while a silver medal would get a $3,000 reward and a bronze medal winner will get $2,000 as a reward from the state.
Per the Games schedule, weightlifting, beach volleyball and swimming starts today with athletics starting on October 13.
Team Ghana has Sandra Mensimah Owusu (weightlifting), Solomon Diafo (athletics), Abeiku Jackson (swimming) as athletes taking part in the Games.
