The Accra Hearts of Oak Park is to be turned into a marine drive resort to boost tourism in Ghana.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the two hundred and forty million dollar project is expected to provide jobs for the youth.
At the handing over of the site to the developer, Sector Minister, Catherine Afeku accompanied by the traditional leaders of Osu and Gbese said a first class resort with the right atmosphere is driving tourism around the world and Ghana cannot be left behind.
She said the marine drive project will kick start the transformation of Accra and Ghana’s tourism agenda.
Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwesi Agyeman said Ghana is on its way to maximising revenue due to the strategic plans put in place in the tourism sector.
