Gas refill to be banned at gas stations

Liquefied Petroleum Gas, stations will no longer be allowed to refill cylinders at their plants.

The decision, under a national policy aims at halting gas explosions at filling stations.

Under the policy, soon to be rolled out by the Ministry of Energy all cylinders will be filled by cylinder bottling plants for onward delivery to retail outlets.

The Executive Director, Kumasi Institute of Technology and Environment, Ishmael Agyekumhene believes this is the surest way to do away with the many gas explosions in the country.
